Procedures

Experimental Setup


1. Form 4 form ISEF will be completed and fill out by a register psychologist prior to this study.

2. Copies of this form will printed and distributed to high school students.

3. Students will fill out ISEF form 4 and obtain parent permission for participation in this experiment.

4. Upon receipt of the ISEF forms all students will be identified by a number and no names will be used in this study to protect individual identification.

5. Obtain a copy of the Stroop Color and Word Test.

6. Create answer sheet for each student being tested.



Data Collection

1. Explain in detail how the Stroop Color and Word Test is performed.

a. You will read the first page of the test for a total time of 30 seconds

b. The research will record how many words you have read.

c. This will be recorded.

d. You will read the second page based on the color of the x’s for a total time of 30 seconds

e. The researcher will record how many colors you have read.

f. This will be recorded.

g. You will read the third page of the test based on the color of the word for a total time of 30 seconds

h. The research will record how many colors you have read.

i. This will be recorded.



2. The Stroop Color and Word test will be given to each student with hands and legs unfolded.

3. On the next day, the Stroop Color and Word test will be given to each student with hands and legs folded or crossed.

4. All data will be analyzed based on the word score, color score and color word score.

5. Mean, median, and mode will be analyzed for each group of subjects tested.
